Is this course right for me?

This is a course primarily aimed at those working or hoping to work as Teaching Assistants in secondary schools.

It’s also relevant to anyone working in schools or with children as it covers a wide range of diversity issues such as: Transgender, ethics, children’s rights in Wales, mental health and wellbeing, globalization, understanding young carers, anti-bullying, and understanding stress.

Entry requirements:

Successful completion of the Introduction to Being a Teaching Assistant in Secondary Education course.

All places are subject to satisfactory interview.

Delivery:

Lessons will be a mix of classroom-based study and on-line learning.

Assessment:

You will provide a portfolio of your work which will be assessed by the tutor.
