This programme is a package of essential training delivered live by expert tutors through an online learning platform. It has been developed to support the North Wales tourism, leisure and hospitality sectors to get back into business.The programme will cover three key subject areas:
Strategy - making the right business decisions for re-opening and into the future.
Safety - risk assessing safety guidance protocols for your business setting.
Service - developing customer and community confidence in your business.
This specially focused course package will equip you with a framework to plan and implement your business re-opening safely and successfully, and to ensure your business is able to thrive in the new normal.
Title: Welcoming Back your Business after Covid 19
This course aims to provide knowledge, understanding and ability to review current business practice in the context of the impact and consequences of the Covid19 pandemic. You will develop a business model, tactics and plans for future business operations. The course reflects upon the continual need for innovation and revising business operations.
Facilitated group discussion on the shared challenges but with a particular emphasis on re-opening for business. Collaborate and share best practice.
: 4 x 2.5 hour sessions, with embedded assessed activities relevant to your business success. Plus individual mentoring sessions, post-opening, reflecting on your implementation.
2) SAFETY ELEMENT
Title: Interpreting Safety Guidance post Covid 19
Training on the essentials of carrying out and writing a risk assessment and method statements for you and your staff to implement safety guidance. Follow-on food-safety related module, where applicable (at extra cost). Includes the preparation of ‘Toolbox Talks’, to enable consistent briefing of staff to implement safe, risk-assessed working practices.
: 2 x 3 hour sessions, followed by offline activity in risk assessment and method statement preparation. Follow-up group mentoring giving feedback on your documentation.
3) SERVICE ELEMENT
Title: Get closer to your customer… from a distance
How to re-interpret your brand and service in the “new normal”, starting with creating a caring culture, then embedding safety and sparkle, building confidence in your service, anticipating challenges and how to address them. This will enable you to re-engage with your customers and communities. Includes the preparation of ‘Team talks’ enabling whole-team buy in of your service strategy. Whole team module available (at extra cost).
Duration: 2 x 3 hour interactive session online, followed by offline activity in preparing your “Team talk” and follow-up group mentoring session.

For European funding criteria, we need photographed or scanned copies of these documents:
- Driving License
- Proof of Level 2 certificate or your highest qualification.
Completion of European Social Fund Company and Participant forms - these will be issued once enrolled.
Tutor led online delivery.
Short written assessment.
