No formal entry requirements. This qualification is ideal if you have management responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing your abilities. It’s particularly suited to practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.
The course is delivered through a blend of the following: Lectures / Group work / Role play exercises / Quizzes
Presentations / College session / Personal study / Work based assignments
The sessions are delivered in English and the session resources are mainly in English although some resources are available in Welsh. The assignment, and portfolio of evidence can be completed/submitted in Welsh.
Understanding Innovation and change and Planning change Combined Work based Assignment - The purpose of this unit is to examine yourknowledge and understanding of innovation and change and the factors that may require your organisation to change, and identify a change required in the workplace that will benefit the organisation.
Understanding communications and Giving briefings and presentations - The task requires you to plan and deliver a presentation to show an understanding of the process of communication and the main methods of communication and how to use them in the workplace. Complete a reflective self-assessment of your own communication skills and identify areas for performance improvement. Finally evaluate the effectiveness of your presentation and use the feedback gathered to identify areas for improvement.
Understanding Performance Management - The purpose of this unit is to enable you to understand the value of performance management techniques and how to apply them in a fair and objective manner in the workplace.
