Is this course right for me?
This course is for deaf people who wish to teach British Sign Language. It is delivered in British Sign Language. Learners will have the opportunity to choose to study from a range of optional units to support the specialist knowledge required in the teaching of sign language or lip-reading.
All trainee teachers joining this qualification programme must undertake an initial assessment of skills in English, mathematics and ICT.
Lessons will be classroom-based using a wide range of teaching methods.
A portfolio of evidence including written and signed assignments.

Additional campus/course information:
This course will be delivered in the new University Centre, Coleg Llandrillo (UCCL) opened at the Rhos-on-Sea campus.
The Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art lecture theatres and seminar rooms, as well as specialist library resources, IT facilities and study areas.
The UCCL has been developed as part of a strategic partnership with Bangor University and provides outstanding additional teaching and learning facilities for the Grŵp's Higher Education students.
