Medical Terminology is at the heart of healthcare across the board and is used in every specialty.

If you are a secretary, receptionist, or manager employed or seeking employment in any NHS field, this course would be very useful. 

This well-respected award is suitable for those working in healthcare who wish to add a medical terminology qualification to their skills and knowledge or for individuals thinking about changing career direction.

The course length is broken down as 3 hours in college and 1 hour of home study.

Entry requirements:

A good knowledge of English 

Delivery:

  • 3 hours per week: taught sessions
  • 1 hour per week: homework

Exercises, activities, worksheets, direct instruction and videos are also used as part of the learning process.

Assessment:

Exams are held in February and June.
