Is this course right for me?

The ACCA qualification is awarded by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, which is the global body for professional accountants.  This effective study route allows delegates to pursue a rewarding career in accountancy, management and finance.

The qualification is designed to teach candidates the accounting knowledge, skills and professional standards and behaviors that will provide an opportunity to build a successful career across any sector.

Entry requirements:

You will need to have an accountancy qualification at Level 4 e.g. AAT Technician, or a relevant degree. You should be working in the accountancy sector, as the qualification requires practical knowledge and application.

All places are subject to satisfactory interview.

Delivery:

ACCA at The Management Centre is delivered via a mixture of face to face tutorials and ‘blended learning’ programme. This is a flexible mix of 'attended' sessions and a 'virtual learning' environment.

For each module, you will have 30-40 hours of induction, tutorials, webinars and revision sessions.

There will generally be 2 days of face-to-face revision sessions. Outside classes, support is available via phone, email or face-to-face.

Assessment:

For each module, you will sit one examination, which will take place during the ACCA examination periods, which are usually in November/December and May/June. Candidates are advised to check the ACCA website for the dates of these examination periods. Precise examination dates will be confirmed by the college at the start of each module.

Progression:

This professional qualification provides openings in a wide range of sectors where accounting and financial management are fundamental to organisational performance. Further professional development will depend on your individual career and the requirements of the sector in which you are working.
