Important Entry Requirement & Application Update

College is still accepting online applications for courses starting in September 2020.

Interviews

Interviews are cancelled to help to limit social contact during this time.

Instead, you will be invited to a college welcome event to meet the tutors before the start of the course. If you do not meet the entry criteria you will have the opportunity to discuss an alternative programme during this event.

Is this course right for me?

Would you like a career in childcare? Are you looking to develop practical skills in childcare and parenting? This course allows you to develop the essential skills of caring for children. It is an ideal preparation for a range of careers, in schools, nurseries, healthcare and other environments.

This qualification is for all those who wish to work in the Children and Young People's Workforce in Wales.  It will cover a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas working in Early Years settings.

The health, social and childcare sector is about putting others before ourselves, therefore your interview will help us decide if you are suitable to engage with the more vulnerable members of society. In your interview, we will discuss the importance of suitable work experience in the sector. Work experience must be completed successfully to finish the course. The interview will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the course, life at college, or working in the heath, social, or childcare sectors.
