Watch the video to understand how the college Welfare Team can support your wellbeing during your time at college.
The college is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all learners can thrive. A wide range of welfare support is available to help students manage personal, emotional, and wellbeing-related challenges that may impact their education.Students can access confidential one-to-one support, mentoring, and early intervention services. Support focuses on building confidence, developing resilience, and promoting positive mental health. Learners are also offered guidance around safeguarding, physical and emotional wellbeing, and can be referred to external specialist services when needed.
Wellbeing initiatives, including ENGAGE sessions, help equip students with the tools to navigate everyday challenges and build coping strategies for life and learning. Overall, the college’s welfare provision is designed to remove barriers, keep learners safe, and empower them to succeed both personally and academically.

Wellbeing and Physical Activity Programme
We have a wellbeing and physical activity programme at the
college and the Wellbeing and Enrichment Officers and a Rugby Officer
work with learners to arrange a wide range of sporting and non-sporting
activities across all campuses.
Period Dignity
Working with our Active Ambassadors we developed the 'It
won't stop us' Campaign. As part of this inspiring campaign, we promote
the importance of maintaining physical activity to reduce the symptoms
of menstruation and that periods should not act as a barrier to engaging
in either learning or active wellbeing. Alongside this we have
developed free complimentary exercise resources which learners can do at
home.
Access to free products: Within Grŵp
Llandrillo Menai, we also provide FREE eco-friendly single use and
reusable period products at Learner Services on each campus as well as a
delivery service to learners' own homes.
'I'm OK' survey
One of the approaches as part of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Wellbeing Strategy, which looks at how best we can support your wellbeing whilst you are studying with us.
Your health is impacted by your emotional, social and physical wellbeing. For you to feel ok it is important for you to feel good (e.g. feelings of happiness, contentment, enjoyment, curiosity, engagement) and function well (experiencing positive relationships, having some control over one’s life, having a sense of purpose).
The survey asks 15 questions around how you feel about your
wellbeing, and covers three areas: emotional, social and physical
wellbeing.
Personalised Wellbeing Plan
Once you have completed the survey, a personalised Wellbeing Plan will be immediately produced. The Wellbeing Plan will offer some self-care tips on how you can look after yourself in a healthy way or offer suggestions on where you can find out more information.
We will be running the survey three times a year to see if your feelings change during this time and to see if your wellbeing improves.
Some of your responses will be plotted on a Wellbeing Star, so when you re-take the survey later in the year, you will be able to see the progress you have made.
The "I’m Ok" Survey can be found on 'eDrac Learner'. Once you have logged in, you will see the "I'm OK Survey" banner on the homepage. Click the banner to start the survey.
