Course Description

Candidates will gain confidence to select, install and maintain domestic solar hot water heating systems

Entry Criteria

NVQ Level 2 plumbing or H&V (domestic) or equivalent or

A certificate of competence for the installation of unvented hot water systems or

WRAS approved Water Regulations qualification or

An Energy Efficiency qualification issued by a 17024 UKAS accredited body or

An independently accredited Health and Safety qualification covering Working at Heights, COSHH and Manual Handling qualifications

Delivery

Through the delivery of 8 modules and practical experience, on purpose built indoor rigs, you can develop skills and theory with a qualified trainer.

Depending on your level of experience and the successful completion of the assessment, a BPEC ‘Installer Certificate’ or ‘Awareness Certificate’ will be awarded at Rhos On Sea and NICEIC at Llangefni.

Assessment

The assessments are designed to ensure that all candidates are treated fairly and equally throughout the country. This approach ensures that both employers and customers can be confident that an operative assessed at a BPEC Certification Ltd/NICEIC approved assessment centre will be able to operate both safely and competently.
