The £16.2M Skills for Employers and Employees (SEE) project will provide training programmes targeted at business in key sectors across North Wales. The project aims to support 7,000 employees across the region which will help develop key skills needed to grow the regional economy.
This a project in partnership with Coleg Cambria and WEA Cymru and builds on the success of other ESF programmes such as the Dyfodol project.
Funding will be made available to all private sector employers from sole traders to large companies based in the counties of Conwy, Gwynedd, Anglesey, Flintshire, Denbighshire and Wrexham.
This project will run until December 2020 and ties in with key developments within this region. Courses available will be for mainly longer programmes such as NVQs with a focus on the priority sectors of Energy, Manufacturing, Food & Farming, Tourism & Outdoor Leisure, Digital and ICT. There will also be a wide range of courses for locally important sectors such as Care, Retail and Construction.
Is my business eligible for SEE funding?
- Sole Traders, Micro, Small, Medium & Large Businesses
- Private or Public Sector (priority sectors only)
- Registered in North Wales
- VAT Registration Confirmation from HMRC (self-employed)
Is my employee eligible for SEE funding?
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Paid employee of an eligible company (copy payslips)
- Not receiving any other Government funding for the same training
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Does not have to reside in North Wales
The funding available ranges between 50 and 70% of the courses fee and is dependent on the type of course and number of employees in your organisation. For courses lasting longer than two years, the funding currently is only guaranteed the first two years of training.
